| For some perverted reason, Explorer wishes to read " as ? and like that, especially when you do a cut and paste from Word. Sorry. We really aren't total idiots. |

Marty has figured out why the fonts were behaving strangely on her computer, so just in case anyone else stumbles across the same issue, here's what she found:
In Internet Explorer (and presumably other browsers), one can choose the "encoding" for the page. In her case, she had it set to "Unicode (UTF-8)." The best setting is apparently "Western European (Windows)."
To check/change your setting in Internet Explorer:
Via the toolbar, find View > Encoding > Western European (Windows)
You may also wish to select View > Encoding > Auto-Select
Hope that helps anyone caught in the same situation!

For anyone who may be interested in trying a new browser, if you don't already use it, I highly recommend Firefox to use instead of Internet Explorer.
In my opinion the site looks better overall in Firefox, and I prefer using it as a browser overall. |

| In addition, I might recommend sticking to standard ASCII fonts for chapter display. In particular, copying and pasting from applications such as MS Word can pose some difficulties, as it will make use of "smart quotes" like “this,” instead "this," standard HTML quote marks (" in the HTML). |
